Anashree Chetty

"I have been at three places during this year. While I was at the Primary School N. P. S. in Asherville, I was also at a Children’s Home, Ethelbert Children’s Home in Malvern, on the weekends. At the Primary School I was a counselor as well as a relief teacher. At the Children’s Home I worked with children 2 months – five years, as well as HIV children. It’s just sad that when working with those children, two die and they come to mean so much to you. I was also at Child Protection Unit. There I was taken to court, looked at dockets on children who were abused. So sad. I wish that you could with a wave of a magic wand make a big difference. My job at Ethelbert consisted of feeding, playing with and changing the children. When changing the babies you have to be cautious, as some might have HIV."
