Benedict Dzivhani

no picture

My name is Benedict Dzivhani. I was born on the 18th of September 1974. My homeland is Venda; which is situated in the Northern Transvall. I did my primary education at Sukani Primary school, and while I was still doing standard 3; in 1983; my father passed away. Since that time until now; life is not easy for me and my family. I continued with my school work until I passed matric in 1990 at Kheto Mxumayo High School.

In 1991; I registered for a B.A. (Law) Degree in the University of Durban-Westville. I have a financial problem since I am being supported by a single parent; my mother; who is a nurse at Tshilidini hospital in Venda. We are six (6) at home, and my mother is also helping her brother to pay his fees. He is studying in Pretoria Tecknichon. My grandparents are both pensioners.

I am in need of financial support so that I can further my studies. I also need to help other people who are in great poverty in the homelands after I finish my studies. And I also need to be involved with community development once I get a job and have some money. Presently I help teaching standard eight pupils during June vacations, as part of the winter school project.
