Frida Rundell



Frida Rundell heads the Child & Youth Development Prgramme at Durban Institute of Technology. Initially she trained as a teacher in music and history but then moved to special education with children who experience learning problems. Her interest in Psychology motivated her to complete her M. Education in Psychology. The PhD interest were in Community Psychology. She is registered withthe health Professional Council of South Africa as an Educational Psychologist. Her present work and interests are in the upliftment of children and youth who are vulnerable and at risk due to poverty, HIV/Aids and violence in South Africa. Finding ways of resourcing vulnerable groups through volunteer programmes and tertiary training programmes is crucial to the way she works.
