Jacqueline Hoorn

Hi!!! Hello!!!

I am Jacquline Hoorn. I am a first year Social Work student at the University of the Western Cape.

I have been nominated as one of the USSAS students and sees this as an privillage to be part of the project.

I have assigned myself to be part of on campus duties of which Hiv/Aids is the major area of focus. The Hiv/aids project covers discussion forums; workshops and awareness programmes.

Outside campus i am involve with St. Annes Homes. The shelter is for battered, abandon and destitude women and children. My assistance was mainly focused on administrative duties and facilitating women with job-hunting skills. I assist in workshops covering issuse relating to drug and alcohol abuse.

My main aim is to help people help themselves, with the believe that our nation has the ability to grow if we took the time to share!!!
