Hi Prof. BOB Wolff and Mr Rechel Bell

My name is MFUNDO "MFANA" ALFRED DAMOYI. I was born 8 December 1973 in CRADOCK a small town situated between GRAAFF REINET and TARKASTAD in KARROO region/area EASTERN CAPE Province. My parents (Mr/Mrs TEDI and LAHLIWE REGINA DAMOYI) were gifted with six children (three daughters and three sons) and only one son passaway. My parents are financial challenge, my is a TRANSNET/SPOORNET'S PENSIONER and my mother is unemployed and also she has suffered from chest problem (ASTHMA). So to be one of your bursary holders to me come as a blessing to disguis and because of that deeply in bottom of my heart i humble myself say to you thank you, may GOD Bless you and double your resources.

I am doing my final year B.ScIII in Biotechnology at UWC and one my majors is Medical Microbiology and Biotechnology that is where my interests lies/based. Since I knew my HIV Status in 2000, that bring me close to my family and friends as well as through my family, extended families, and friends support make more sense of belonging and bring peace to myself by restoring myself esteem. That drive me to make vital decision about my positive living and honoured my life to those who suffered through the struggle of HIV/AIDS (THOSE BEEN AFFECTED and INFECTED with IT). Now i commited and dedicated my life in fight against HIV/AIDS. My involvement include one on one base counselling to those tested HIV positive mean ongoing counselling and also involve teaching as well as educating young people about HIV/AIDS as well as STIs/STDs.
