Monceba Alons Nqoto

I would like to thank the Department of Political Science, especially Mr. Singh for the bursary of USSAS.

I intend to spend the grant to further my studies because I would pay for the fees.  This bursary helps me a lot because at least I would pay less fees than I am supposed to pay.

I am Nonceba Alons Nqoto. I am a girl of 24.  I am a Christian.  I am coming from Transkei.  My mother is a house wife and my father is the only bread winner at home.  My father is a carpenter so he does not get a lot of money in his job.  There are 6 children at home, only one is married and the rest are depending to my parents (including myself).  My father is the only bread winner at home, that makes financial conditions at home to be unfavourable.

My school background began at Sitebe Primary School in Transkei, from there I went to Clarkebury Junior Secondary School to start standard 5, I studied there until I passed standard 7.  I went to Blythswood Senior Secondary School to start standard 8 and I completed my matric at that school.  From there I found Westville University in 1989 doing B. Admin first year.  This is my final year in my degree.

I am among those students who voluntarily help standard ten students on Saturday classes.  We are helping them because we try to solve their problems concerning their school subjects.
