The South African Government Online currently includes a variety of information including links to web-sites of government departments, provinces and other government bodies, organizational information (mission, vision, functions, organizational structure, role-players, contact information), government documents and publications, speeches and press releases by government role-players, Government Tender Bulletin, National Symbols, provincial and local government information, and general information about South Africa.

Includes information about the two houses of the Parliament; The National Assembly and The National Council of Provinces (NCOP). The National Assembly is elected to represent the people and to ensure government by the people under the Constitution. It does this by choosing the President, providing a national forum for public debate of important issues, passing laws, and overseeing the executive. The NCOP is responsible for ensuring that provincial interests are taken into account in the national sphere of government. The department of Environmental Affairs and Tourism encompasses five different branches which include Environmental Quality and Protection, Marine and Coastal Management, Tourism, Biodiversity & Conservation, and the Chief Operations Officer.
