African Christian Democratic Party
ACDP offers a fresh start based on Christian and family values, determined to address issues such as education, unemployment, health care, security and poverty, based on proven successful policies. They aim to rebuild the foundation of the nation by protecting families from the destructive effects of gambling, prostitution, pornography and abortion.
African National Congress
The ANC is the majority party in the Government of National Unity. It came to power after South Africa's first democratic elections in April 1994.
Democratic Party of South Africa
The Democratic Party is a liberal democratic political party whose members believe in The rights and freedoms of every person - including the right to freedom of conscience, speech, association, and movement. The rejection of unfair discrimination on the grounds of, inter alia, race, gender, sexual orientation, language, culture, religion, and disability.

The Inkatha Freedom Party
The original Inkatha or "Inkatha kaZulu" as it was known, was launched in the 1920s by Zulu King Solomon kaDinizulu in conjunction with the ANC, which was founded in 1912. It was formed to act as a rallying point to fight Jan Smuts' Native Affairs Bill of 1920.
New National Party
Following the formation of the South African Union in 1910 white political parties were organized on a large scale for the first time. General JBM Hertzog founded the National Party in January 1914 to serve as a vehicle for Afrikaner nationalism and self-determination.
The South African Communist Party
The South African Communist Party was founded in 1921 and has always been in the forefront of the struggle against imperialism and racist domination. The SACP is a partner in the Tripartite Alliance consisting of the African National Congress and the Congress of South African Trade Unions.
