Sithembele Mbewy

My intention as far as using the grant is concerned, is by furthering my studies so as to achieve an Honours degree.
My name is Sithembele Mbewy. I am 24 years old. I am coming from Port Elizabeth in the Cape Province. I am coming from a big family of nine members. There are three brothers and three sisters, myself and both parents. All of my three brothers are married and my two elder sisters are also married thus staying with their spouses. The younger sister is doing a first year in University of Western Cape. The conditions have forced my father to be responsible for my education and also my younger sister’s education as my brother is a housewife. Be that as it may, my father is still the breadwinner for the family.
My school background started at Pendla Lower Primary school where I finished standard two. After that I went to Molefe Higher Primary school where I finished my standard six. From there I went to Cowan High School where I finished standard 10 in 1988. Ultimately in 1989 I came to Durban Westville to do my first year in B. Admin. Until now that I’m proceeding to Honours.
My community involvement is basically academic. This we do by providing ourselves voluntarily as tutors on Saturday classes. These classes are intended to assist matric pupils in their problems concerning their subjects. Each tutor does a particular subject that he or she knows best.
